Coastal Church Core Values
Core values help to shape and focus us so that we may accomplish the vision that God has for our church. The vision of any church guides its activities and sustains its life. Our Core Values will follow the the example of the book of Acts and the core Values that they modeled.
1) THE AUTHORITY OF THE WORD OF GOD
When you are building anything you have to begin with a good solid foundation and the word of God is the foundation for how we build our lives and how we will build this church.The time for examination is at the beginning before you build, not in the middle or after, because if the foundation is wrong, the whole house is wrong. Coastal Church believes and affirms everything that the Bible affirms. Our stance and view of the Bible can be summed up in 4 words. HISTORIC.ORTHODOX .CHRISTIAN .FAITH. We are constantly looking for new and creative ways to live out the teachings of Jesus and because we see Faith as a journey, change is assumed,innovation is expected and the "rebirthing of ideas" is welcomed.
2)A STRONG DEPENDENCY ON THE HOLY SPIRIT
Coastal Church believes in the supernatural power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. We believe that God can do anything and that He seriously desires to be involved in every area of our lives. Our culture needs a resurgence and we believe that God has called the church to be agents of his creativity and by seeking his presence, we can effectively impact our society and world. Just like children who are dependent upon their parents, on every person's spiritual journey, we discover that our hearts are desperate for God's reassurance and when spend time with Him in prayer he takes our weaknesses and exchanges it for His strength. God created our spirits to draw from His constant source of renewal, and when we are refreshed by His spirit, our outlook changes.
3) LOVING GOD = LOVING PEOPLE
Coastal Church is whole heartedly committed to World Evangelism and Personal Evangelism, which is why we give 10% of all our tithes and offerings away to ministries and missionaries around the world. We are blessed to be a blessing to a world and culture that has yet to give give their life to Jesus.We believe that pre- christians are not the enemy, but the focus of why Jesus came to the earth and we love them and accept them, just as he did. The best way that we can commit ourselves to winning people for Christ is to prepare ourselves ahead of time because preparation builds our confidence.
4) OUR COMMITMENT TO DO LIFE TOGETHER
Coastal Church believes that the church is supposed to be a reflection of God and God is made up of 3 parts. The trinity represents community and we believe that a person cannot become their true self in isolation. The perfect relationship and communication between the Father,Son and Holy Spirit worked so well, that it inspired creation out of a desire to share this relationship. The way Jesus modeled communication was through involvement. He became "Emmanuel" God with us. We believe God wants us have strong relationships together, so that all may feel loved, valued, and appreciated.
5) COMMINTING OURSELF TO SPIRITUAL HEALTH AND WHOLENESS
Coastal Church believes that salvation is holistic and not just something that we cash in on when we die. When Paul the wrote his letter to the Colossians, he addressed the age old question of "Is it always going to be like this?," through this letter, Paul presents this radical idea that the everything is totally messed up and that the cross is God's way of putting the world and all of us back together again. God wants to save every part of us; our mind, our will, our emotions, our past, our wounds and our addictions. Every aspect of my being can find peace with God. Jesus doesn't just want to give me a ticket to heaven he wants to mend and put me back together again here, now, and today.

that is exactly what Chad and Jenninfer Stafford
have done..... return home.
Upon graduating from Central Bible College, the Staffords have been in full time ministry for over 10 years having served in almost every area of church work.
Chad grew up in Daphne and played football and baseball at Daphne High School. He was a youth pastor in Daphne from 1999-2004, where the youth ministry became recognized as one of the best in the nation. He served as a football and baseball coach at Daphne High School as he and Jennifer poured their life into the Eastern Shore community.
During their time as youth pastors in Daphne, Jennifer was a full time teacher, part time staff member, tutor, member of the music department, mentor to teenage girls, a coach's wife, a pastor's wife and an intense Daphne High School Trojan fan. If Jennifer was not at the church she was more than likely at the baseball or football field.
On October 12,2007, Chad and Jennifer welcomed their first son, Evan Charles Stafford. Evan loves people, the beach and climbing on anything! He is a very happy boy that always wears a huge grin.
The Staffords feel called by God to spend the rest of their life here on the Eastern Shore. Coastal church is the church they want to pastor and Daphne is where they want to live and raise their kids.
When youve been all around the world there is only one place left you want to go. Home.
